History Clark Whitehill's story began in October 1982, following a merger between Clark Pixley and Fryer Whitehill & Co. These predecessor firms have a history back dating to 1843. Clark Whitehill's regional presence expanded during the 1980s. Offices in Kidderminster, Maidstone, Newbury, Reading, Walsall and Manchester opened, all within a space of three years. Horwath Clark Whitehill Financial Services Limited was formed shortly afterwards, operating from Clark Whitehill's offices in the Thames Valley. In 1994, Clark Whitehill became the UK representative of Horwath International and on 1 January 1998, changed its name to Horwath Clark Whitehill. With a national network of firms in place, including associate offices and a separate financial services company, Horwath Clark Whitehill began the process of converting to a limited liability partnership which occurred in 2004. In response to requirements for increased auditor independence, Horwath Clark Whitehill has separated from its consultancy practice. For more information email enquiry@horwath.co.uk
