Meet our specialist Pensions Group Andrew Penketh, Partner He was involved with the development of AAF 01/06 which is the new standard in the UK issued by ICAEW for reporting on internal controls at service organisations used by third parties. Andrew is currently a trustee of Raising Standards of Pensions Administration which produces guidance and promotes best practice in the sector. Andrew chaired the ICAEW 2007 Pensions Conference. Shona Harvie , Partner Shona has worked at Horwath Clark Whitehill for five years and became a partner in their Pensions Group in April 2008, having previously worked with a Big Four firm. Shona is very experienced in providing auditing and other assurance services to pension schemes, in particular to large schemes. She is Secretary to the Pensions Research Accountants’ Group SORP and Derivatives working parties that recently issued the revised SORP and guidance on accounting for derivatives. Shona is also a member of the ICAEW Pensions Technical Group. Judith Hetherington, Partner Judith has over ten years experience in managing a multitude of pension schemes and internal audits. Judith is responsible for delivering our firm’s pensions training and is leading our firm’s service on internal control reviews. John Stalker, Partner His commercial, taxation and audit experience has enabled John to develop the role of a specialist dealing with pension schemes within the Thames Valley and clients cover a broad spectrum of industries and structures. Pension Scheme clients range from small self administered schemes to large public company defined benefit schemes with assets of up to £3 billion.
Arthur Blackburn, Partner He became Partner in Horwath Clark Whitehill's specialist VAT Group on 1 January 1998 and has been with Horwath Clark Whitehill since November 1989. Arthur is a member of the VAT Practitioners Group.
