Meet our specialist corporate finance team George Cranston , Head of Corporate Finance Group George has led the Corporate Finance Group since its formation in 1992. He has over 20 years experience in providing a broad range of corporate finance services to small listed companies and private companies of all sizes. His experience includes the raising of venture and development capital, debt and equity fund raising for management buy outs and buy ins, divestitures and advisory services in respect of corporate acquisitions. The transaction size has ranged from £5m to £175m. George has also advised on reverse takeovers and initial public offerings with initial market capitalisation of over £150m. Recently George has been providing services to companies in the technology and media sectors but he also has significant experience in retail and engineering. Dave May, Partner Dave has many years experience advising on corporate finance and tax issues and his in-depth knowledge has guided clients ranging from public companies through to small private companies. Dave acts as part-time Finance Director for a client and has been on Horwath Clark Whitehill’s Executive Board as well as managing partner of the Firm’s London office. He is a member of the ICAEW and is a qualified Corporate Finance practitioner. Pat Moore , Partner Pat heads up Corporate Finance in the Midlands. She is well known in the Midlands Corporate Finance community and has been an active adviser for over 20 years in the listed company arena and in the private sector. She provides due diligence services, advice on fund raising for management buy outs and buy ins and acquisitions and also advises on sales of busineses. Pat has experience in a diverse cross section of industries but has particular experience in the Care Home sector. Geert Struyven, Partner Geert has specialised in corporate finance work since 1998 and has a wide variety of experience having handled a number of high profile assignments including sale mandates, corporate acquisitions, MBO’s and MBI’s. Geert has also extensive experience in transaction support, including flotations and subsequent public fund raisings, vendor due diligence, private equity investigations and other acquisition due diligence assignments. Geert joined Horwath Clark Whitehill as a partner in 2007 to strengthen its national corporate finance team and to further its contact base both within the UK and overseas. Prior to qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Geert was lecturing at the University of Wales where he obtained an MBA and a PhD. Geert is a fluent Dutch speaker and is a member of the ICAEW.
